Where to buy new amd computer

I usually do all my work (upgrading, etc.) myself but when I get a new pc, I normally just buy from a vendor.

Who is the best price/performance vendor out there now? Alienware seems real pricy. I was looking at xi and abspc.

Who do you guys recommend?

There are a lot of places that custom build computers. Though, you can generally save a good bit of money by just getting the parts and building it yourself. So it's up to you, having it built is a lot less work, but also costs more. Off the top of my head, monarchcomputer.com makes pretty good customer machines.

I went with monarch and i have to say i am mad at myself that i didnt build it myself. But either way they are a good company, maybe just get a barebones and do the rest yourself that might work.

Personally, I'd stay away from Monarch for a pre built.

Why is that?

Just read thru their forums.
They may have improved lately, but as of a couple of months ago they were constantly way behind on builds and many had problems from the start.
Then it would take forever to get it fixed because there RMA dept was so backed up due to all the problems people were having with their systems.
They claimed to be hiring more technicians, so that may have helped.

Their prices are very good though.

I can't say that my experiences from Monarch recently would give me much confidence to order a pre-built from them, let alone anything. I'd buy from Newegg, but if you absolutely must have someone else built the darn thing for you, then go ahead and spend too much extra money with some of the companies suggested in this thread.
