where to buy modded cases?

Hi. I'm not too great when it comes to power tools and painting, so I was wondering, what are some good sites to buy pre-modded cases (in the US)

I'm looking for a case w/ a window and light inside, and something better than beige. thanx
 
I like Frozen CPU, those guys are really nice. They have a ton of options for their cases. They offer a good base price for the PC60USB @ $159, but to add a window is $80 + $24 to install? Design comp looks like they offer better prices in terms of windows @ around $48 ea., but their base price for the PC60USB is $20 more. I like how both sites really break down the costs.
 
The Nikao Zeus is a steel case with an oval window. It looks pretty cool... I think directron has em.

If anyone does something as nice or better Id just love to know as Im in exactly the same boat as you. Id hate to use a jig saw or dremel cos id be useless. hehe

Why would someone want his optical drives to color-match the rest of your case? Why would someone not want his case to be puke brown with pink dots and jungle green stripes?

It is because people want their cases to look good to varying degrees. Some people want something that's not so hideous that it's distracting, some people want something so flashy that it IS distracting, and others want something in the varying shades of grey.

As for windows specifically, it's very cool to be able to see the inside of a computer while it's running. Just like some people marvel at the inside of Big Ben (you know, that clock in England) or are fascinated by a running steam engine locomotive, some people like to see the inside of a computer while it's running. Sure, there's only a couple of LED's and a few fans spinning, but you get to see it. You know empirically that the inside of your computer doesn't turn into a hamster running on a wheel, and you know it all the time. For the home builders, this is particularly important, they get to see their hard work. Not just the output on the monitor or speakers, but the physical device they put together. They get to see it as much as they want, when they want, simply by turning their heads.

Also, if some 400g heatsink falls off your CPU and makes a Godzilla-esque path of destruction throughout the inside of your case there's a good chance you could see it happen with a window. Isn't that alone worth the extra bucks?

well...I like to show off all the hard work ive done with my Mods...window showes the WireLooms, the Neon, EL Cable...and the window was one of the funnest mods Ive ever done...Im proud of my system...so I like to show it off...XP1700+@1.65Ghz air cooled (can get higher, but it gets a bit warm) GeForce3ti200,512mb PC2100 , Audigy Sound card..etc...Its just fun...
