You can't upgrade your laptop they aren't upgradeable like a desktop. The video is usually integrated.

Some notebook computers do have upgradeable graphics, but that is only available in the ultra high end notebooks such as the Alieanware modle. As to where to buy a replacement, no clue.

You can't the video chipset is soldered onto the motherboard in the notebook. It has no agp slot or anything for you to add any type of video card.

It really depends on the laptop. I have a Dell Inspiron 8000 that can have the video card updated because there were people upgrading from the geforce2go card to the geforce4go cards. Not only do you need to have a card that is not soldered to the motherboard but you also need to make sure the bios and LCD supports the new video card. I know that you can sometimes find the laptop video cards for sale on Dell's website.

A lot of notebooks have upgradeable video now, you guys really don't know a whole lot about mobile computing :) ATI and NVIDIA both produce removable mobile chips, 9200, 9600 and 5200, 5600's (no high end as of yet) and its great that the new compaq's 1010/1020, toshiba a20's, hp 7000, inspiron's are ALL fully upgradeable

indeed, read some of the latest laptop revoews here at anadtech. i recall a couple models being upgradeable

problem is where to get the upgrade. i dont think it was meant to be "upgradeable" so much as modular and easy for the vendor to customize the graphics for your laptop easier. good luck finding a way to get an upgrade though, but post back if youre successful :)
