Where to buy Logitech z680?

Okay well I figure I'll go for 'em now. I've never bought from Amazon before, so I need some input. Where should I buy from:

Dell.com:
Usually Ships: Same Day
3-5 day Ground Delivery1 $40.00 - $40.00 = $0.00
Total price: $274

Amazon.com:
Usually ships within 24 hours
FREE Super Saver Shipping (5-9 business days)
Total price: $266

Anyone bought their set from either of these places lately? Did you get a hiss free set? How long did it take to get to you? As you can see the prices are about the same, and I don't mind getting from either place, but I'd like to get a set with the new control pod, and if both have 'em I'd just go for the place that gets them out quicker because they are basically the same price. TIA.

I would buy them from amazon because when they ship stuff it gets here the next day for me, even with super saver shipping 🙂

I got my set from dell a few months ago. Price with fedex was around $232 with a 15% off coupon code. Mine are not hiss-free but I don't mind. The hiss is loud, sometimes it's annoying, but overall, I can live with it.

The price quoted from Dell in the first post is the $255 plus tax figure you posted, hehe.

I still ended up getting them from Dell earlier today. New 15% off coupon came out and I had a stackable 15% off coupon (that expires on the 13th), so using both of those:

Sub-Total $299.00
Discount -$82.97
Shipping $40.00
Shipping Discount -$40.00
Tax $16.74

Total Price $232.77

yeehaw 😀

Well, ordered Thursday, got them Monday. Got 'em set up and they are quite nice. I did get the 1.1.2 control pod with my set from Dell. The center channel does hiss, but with no sound coming out I cannot hear it over ambient noise when I am at my normal sitting position (speaker about 3 feet away). I'd recommend these hands down to anyone if they want to spend under $300 on their speakers.

To find firmware version:

Turn the control pod off so that the red standby light is on. Hold down the Input and Settings buttons until the firmware version shows on the display.

i would wait i have seen dell deals for about 210 on those speakers

also consider the megaworks 550D for about 160 after rebate (check hot deals this is at least 100 cheaper than anywhere else)
