Where to buy laptop memory?

I'm looking to upgrade my Gateway 600 series laptop by getting a 512 MB piece of PC2100 DDR memory. When I use pricewatch I find pretty good deals, like here for $80. Compared to about $230 and $150 at Bestbuy and Compusa, respectively. Is $80 too good to be true? I've never upgraded a laptop, so any advice would be much appreciated.
