Hello all,

I have checked a couple of online retailers (like NewEgg) as well as the best price websites and haven't found these chips. Anyone know where I can buy a couple for a decent price?

Also, please give me an idea what I can expect to pay for 2 1.0GHz Duron MPs.

Thanks a lot.

There are no Duron MP processors. You can buy the "usual" durons and use them in SMP, but officially it's not supported.

I haven't heard that anyone has ever called duron with morgan core duron MP. AFAIK MP in athlon's name standed for multiprocessing and duron's aren't officially supported in multiprocessor configuration...

It's weird, but this review talks about Duron MPs and Duron 1.0GHZ as though they are very different.

Review

I have sent the reviewer an email asking if they are the same or if they are different.

I belive the reviewer just called Morgan-based Durons Duron MP's. I checked AMD's website and and found only Athlon MP's as expected. For a moment I thought maybe that Duron MP is mobile chip but AMD hasn't released faster than 950Mhz mobile Duron yet...

Threfore,
there is no Duron MP, but the new
Duron with the Morgan core MAY work in a dual processor configuration
