Where to buy DIY laptops?

My wives, dell 9400 screen broke.
However I can get a new screen for $200, but she wants a lighter laptop, so I want to buy a barebone laptp and transfer the components.

Where can I get such laptops?

Aside from buying a used laptop for parts on EBay- you might check all of these out.

If you buy a whitebook it just comes with a motherboard and video card(plus case/keybaord/screen). Places like xoticpc.com sell them
