Where to buy dig cameras, best price, reliable..

Where is a good place to buy a Canon digital camera? The prices are all over the place on the internet.
Most cheaper places say its US box and warranty.. but is it really?

if I can get past them trying to sell me other high price accessories, are these places ok to order from?

most specifically, I am looking for G2 or G3.

I dont know about those models specifically but when I was looking for an S30 I ended up choosing Newegg. They were $30 or so cheaper then most other places (and between $50 and $100) cheaper then a lot of retail stores near me. I know they carry the G2 and G3 and would imagine that the prices on those would be nice also.

Best place to buy a camera would be from Dell, they have very good warrantys and what not. The only problem is when, they always have insane deals like 20% off plus an additional $30 off.... no tax and free shipping are a bonus. Check the hot deals forum, there are always posts about camera deals that you can find at Dell. I say they come along every other month or so.

I have used B&H many times and they are excellent - plus they are a real photo house. Also Delta International has been very satisfactory for Canon digital items.

more established camera-only places are BH Audio Video in new york and Cameraworld of oregon

tho i just found buydig.com and they have terrific prices as well as stellar reputation on bizrate.com

Camera world was bought by Wolf. So there is little difference in going to a wolf/ritz camera and buying online at camera world.

At X-Mas time, I ordered a Canon PowerShot S45 from B&H and I am very happy with the service that I received. They were $100 less than "other" stores. They shipped the same day and I actually got the order delivered overnight. They had decent prices on extended warrantys and batterys, too.

BTW, the S45 is way better than the S30 or S40. Especially the auto focus system. It works much better in low light situations and can shoot 3 min MPEGS. Audio messages can be added to each picture. Besides all that, it's a 4 Mega-pixel camera that actually fits in your pocket.
