Where to buy college programming books on the cheap?

Been out of the business for about 10 years, and started programming again, but I need to brush up, and the best way to do that is with college course books and their excersizes at the ends of chapters.

I remember when I was in college, books were outrageously priced, but if you found someone in a class you were taking later, you could make a deal with them for their book ($40 vs $100).

I checked Ebay, and prices are retardedly high ($5 discount for used), and am wary of these 'cheap college book' sites, so can anyone recommend somewhere to get used college level programming books on the cheap?

Amazon used sellers?

An edition that's a year or two behind the current one should be dirt cheap since it will no longer be being used by instructors.

Also, don't forget to find a site like CodeProject.com (Windows) that matches the languages you're learning. You can find projects with source code to look at, and forums full of people working with the language, libraries and IDE.

I didn't really acquire any 'programming' books from college, most were theory based. I have one Java data structures/algorithms book from an intro class, and that's it. If you're looking for good reference materials, check out the free reference thread
