I was looking for a place to get it but I only turn up websites I've never heard of. Does anyone know a good place that has them in stock? Thanks

USA, of course. ;-)

Well, I bought mine from Page Computers, but their not listed on pricegrabbeer right now, which means they are "out of stock". They will have the best price, when they are on the list. The downside is their poor response to your tracking questions, and a flat charge re-stock fee. They do have a "contact on-line" window, that when I tried to use it worked just fine. The lady I talked to (a Martha) was very helpful, but their web site tracking,a nd email response is poor at best. HOWEVER, when you open your NEC box, right on top is instructions to contact NEC Custormer Service directly, and to not return it to where you purchased it from anyway.... Since mine was in perfect shape, with no complaints, I can't comment of how following that route will be. From everything I was able to find out, however, NEC is a fine company, willing to stand behind their procducts.....

Everyone has an opinion though; some great; others not so great.

Buy.com should be a safe bet. Not the best out there but good enuff.

My experience with PC nation has been very good too. But it seems more expensive.

Great Monitor though.

Price is also dependent on where you live due to shipping. As of this posting Technoweb has the cheapest price with a 5 * rating. Cheaper than page computer. You have to check daily on these things because they are subject to price changes due to discounts, sales, etc., I think $661 is a little pricey though personally. But thats just me.

Yes, 661 is lot of money but my techno conscience is insessant and keeps buggin me about buying the best of the best for every component. Actually, everytime price is the major consideration when buying PC components, I wind up with crap that ends up being defective or I am underwhelmed by its performance/use.

So I'm trying to get the best LCD out there (within reason).

Hopefully the price will go down 40 bucks or so by the time I'm ready to commit.

BTW, what the hell is technoweb? Only search result I got was an asian site...

It's Techonweb, not Technoweb. I've bought several things from them, including a monitor and haven't had any problems. Still, it's a good idea to check their ratings.

I think you're making a good decision. The monitor should be near the top on anyone's list of most important computer components. Nothing worse than having to look at some piece of sh1t monitor for 8 hours, forced to constantly notice all of its flaws. So many LCDs have problems, whether it's banding, slow response time, poor viewing angles, bad colors, getting the 20WMGX2 is worth it, especially at less than $700.

Thanks for the correction. I bookmarked the site. It's #7 NEC 20WMGX2 bookmark

Frys Electronics carries the Silver/white model. Best Buy will have the black version of the 20WMGX2.
