Yes, you heard me.......pad Now, I know Arctic Silver is better, but look at my situation.

1. Will never be overclocked
2. Will never be removed from this machine
3. To be used on a retail Athlon XP 2200 and heatsink....which cleaned up quite nicely, BTW
4. I'm lazy

One small problem.....where do you buy officially by-gosh AMD approved replacement thermal pads? Damned if I can find any here in the US (Google will find you plenty of them in Australia, New Zealand, and the UK). CompUSA has some sort of replacement, but they're pretty cheesy looking.......help!

From the company that makes most of their OEM HSFs http://www.ajigo.com ... A google search on Chomerics T725 would have turned it up... Or if you want, you can get the Shin Etsu sold under the Akasa name. Both are AMD certified. If you haven't seen any of the threads where I've explained how to install pads and your pads don't come with instructions on how to do the melt, PM me.
. The Shin Etsu has a lower melt point than the Chomerics, so you want to be sure your HSF will keep your temp below 50 deg. C if you use the Shin Etsu.
