I'm trying to find someplace reputable that sells tablet pc's for <=$1700 (after taxes). BB, Staples, and Circuit City all carry only a couple models in the $2000+ range. Ideas?

Do you mean local B&M locations only? Otherwise, newegg has several in your price range ($950 - $1669).

At this point, I can't limit to B&M. I did look at Newegg, but they only seem to carry Acer, which has gotten very poor quality and customer service reviews.

Acer's not that bad, they've just gotten the flak from faulty digitzers from Wacom. Now it's very rare that you have to send one back right after you get it.

<------- Also looking into getting a tablet, so I've been lookin' around ;)

I think I have narrowed it down to the HP/Compaq TC100 for $1650 from Insight. Now all I have to do is find a job.
