I like a CK suit at Filenes yesterday but wanna look around first. I am mainly looking for a black 3 button or 2 high button suit with narrow pinstripes.

Also how hard is it to find flat front slacks with no pleates that come with suit ? The guy at filenes says they are all pleated in front.

+++++
Bought CK suit seperates from Macy's this past weekend. I ended up spending aroun $240 with Macy's card and no alteration required since the pants were already finished and suit fits fine. Bought a dark grey 3 button suit with flat front pants and no pleats.

thanks for the help :).

Moores Clothing for Men. "Well made. Well priced. Well dressed."

**EDIT: Does this store even exist in the US? Excuse my ignorance, it never even occurred to me until just now.

Had the same problem for the pants and I also work out so reg. suits are loose around my waist and a little snuge around my shoulders.

BUT I did find 1 place that had what I wanted, JC Penney. It is a 2 button (or even 3 button but I don't like the 3 button ones) you can get the slacks in pleat or flat front. The slacks can come hemmed, cuffed, or unaltered.
So my suit I ordered was a 40 Athlethic coat and the 32 X 32 1/2 flat front slacks hemmed. The suits are 100% wool on outside and forgot the inside. If you order the coat and slacks at the same time it only cost like $195. And yu can get free shipping coupons at the Fat wallet.

Clcik here to see 2 button suits.

Do not go to Men's Warehouse. Save yourself from overpaying for a suit.

Go to Brook's Brothers, and get a nice suit, that is worth what you pay for it.

I did not get mine fromt he store I juts ordered it off the web. The local JC we had the guy was really nice but told me they do not stock Athlethic cut coats so I would have to order it. Very nice and the suit fits me very well and did not cost over $200 (not including the undershirt, tie, cufflinks, etc....)

You read my mind. Brooks Brothers has great sales, never buy anything from there for full price.
Macy's also has a great mid-priced suit selection...CK, Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren, etc.

Yeah, Macy's stores are very hit or miss. Luckily I work right next to their flagship store (herald square).

Does anybody know any other places that have Athlethic cut suits with flat front pants??

Always like to get some more suits and Penneys is the only one that has 100% what I wanted.

I've always liked Bloomingdale's selection of suits. Either that, Nordstrom, or Brooks Brothers.

I think it's hard to get flat front suit pants because its not stylish. It's a bit of a fashion faux pas is my understanding, so if you want to risk looking bad go ahead.

Agreed!!! Old people wear pleated pants. I don't like to wear pants that make me feel like I am wearing MC Hammer pants.
