Where to buy a good futon/sofabed?

My mom wants to pick one out for our newly renovated basement. Does anyone know any advice on where we should start looking? I was thinking of checking ikea. Does anyone know of any other stores w/ good selection either b&m or online? TIA.

Most sofa beds are terrible. I'd get a couch and an aero bed, it'll probably be cheaper too. If you do get a futon and you plan on sleeping on it occasionally, make sure you get a mattress with springs. The $93 futon from walmart is junk (unless you're going to put it in a dorm room).

Yeah, if you want to sleep on it with any regularity, spend the extra dough on a decent mattress. The cheapo ones are hell on the back.
