Where to buy a 5a power brick locally?

My monitor's 12V 5A power supply died on me. I'd like to buy one locally but not sure where. Anyone know of what B&M store might sell one, or what cheap electronics item might include one? They are $10-$20 online but I need it asap and with overnight shipping would end up being ~$40ish.

Got a spare car battery laying around? I would say go buy a monitor, use the power brick for a couple days, then return the monitor when your online order arrives. But I doubt you'd even find a monitor that uses such a brick.

RadioShack may have something that will meet your needs. They have power adapters with interchangeable delivery plugs to fit a wide array of devices. WalMart may have an appropriate power brick, but IDK that they will have one with the right end on it.

u could try a hardware store, and look for a 5amp LED driver which is usually 12V.

You may need to clip the DC jack off the old Power brick and attach it to the new one tho.

Or, you can take a spare/unused PC PSU, clip the 4pin molex/Sata off, clip the DC jack off the dead power brick.

Use the 12V+ (Yellow cable) and ground line (the black cable next to the yellow cable) off the molex, connect it to the DC jack (Red -> Yellow + Black -> Black), and hotstart your psu (paper clip on the green and black) and use that until you can get a new brick delivered.

RadioShack is probably the right idea. It'll be $20-30 IIRC from when I worked there, but take the power brick with you, and they'll hook you up.
