Where to Button down shirts for broad shoulders and no gut

Where can I find them? I wear large polo and T-shirts and they fit well 90% of the time, but I always have so much trouble finding button down shirts that fit both my shoulders and my waist. Larges fit fine around the abdomen but not around the shoulders, and XLs fit fine around the shoulders but are too frumpy in the waist.

FWIW my shoulders are about 21" wide. Chest is 45" and my waist is 37".

You'll need to experiment with brands and styles.
Try Macy's or even Mens Warehouse. When I go shopping for work clothes, basically I head there, give them the color combos and price range I want and they do a good job at getting clothes to fit my body type.

Just get fitted shirts. I think you've got your shoulder measurements wrong.

Unless I'm being casual i never wear a shirt that's not fitted. Large, xl, those aren't clothing sizes..

Where the hell did 21" come from? Is that the back measurement?

Also, for a 8" drop you'd be looking at "extra-tailored" for off-the-rack clothing.
