Where to appraise/sell jewelry/watches?

My parents have some really old jewelry that they want appraised and honestly, I think my mom just wants to sell some of it to pay for some house upgrades, if it's worth it. Also, she has a custom made Rolex that was made for my grandfather like eleventy billion years ago... I think she wants to get it appraised and fixed up so I can have it

Anyway, much obliged for pointing me in the right direction. If the jewelry is to get sold, what's the best way to get rid of it and fetch a reasonable price? Where would I go to sell it?

Find an antique dealer or a jeweler that deals in estate jewelry. They should be able to take care of appraisal and/or buying it, or at least refer you to someone who can.

Don't go anywhere that advertises that they buy jewelry.
