Yes, There's another one due out next year. It's called BioShock. Not a direct sequal, but will continue on the "spirit" of DE.

Tha mod pack looks interesting. I'll bookmark, hope I can remember to check back later.

Agreed, playing the demo made me cry. Poor performance, ****** graphics and bad gameplay, just such a disappointing sequal. I remember reading the headline for DX2 in my PC Gamer magazine and was so excited, but when the game finally came out, it sucked terribly.

Bio Shock was originally going to be Deus Ex 3, but after Deux Ex 2 didnt do well in terms of sales they decided there was no point in continuing the franchise. Deux Ex 2 failed because the publishers wanted to make the game to appeal to a wider audience, and well they basically took out all that was good in Deux Ex.

My understanding was that Bioshock was more along the lines of the System Shock lineage.

Crap! You're correct.

Yeah, it's basically a System Shock 3 thingy.

Sorry, my bad.

DX2 has a pretty good texture pack to hide the ugliness, but aside from that there isn't much. A few single player mods for the original are out there as well, but none of them are really worth playing IMO.

lol, what? There was never a Deus Ex 3 announced and even if there was, the people making Bioshock had nothing to do with it. Ion Storm and Irrational Games are hardly related at all.

Ditto. Also, DX2 blew ass. :p

DX2 was still a good game. Many of the bugs and lag problems were fixed through patches, and it still managed to keep some role playing elements from the original. The only real problem were those thirty second loading points that you had to endure every five minutes.

Yeah my bad I got games confused. There was a Deus Ex 3, but it was turned into Project: Snowblind.

That's not exactly right either. Deus Ex: Clan Wars (which started development a year or so before DX2 was even released) was being worked on until they decided that a multiplayer-based Deus Ex game didn't sound so appealing. In the end they just renamed it to Project: Snowblind and that was that.
