Where the hell is AGP 6600 GT?

I've only seen one nVIDIA channel partner, eVGA, even mention an AGP 6600 GT on its website. I've also seen one picture of Inno3d's AGP 6600 GT, but, again, there's no mention of it on their site. Don't manufacturers usually list this kind of stuff on their websites at least a month or so ahead of time? Do you think the AGP version is really going to surface this month? Thanks for the time and the input.

I doubt it will be here this month and if it is probably low numbers at first. I'm betting by December you can probably find it fairly easily. Most of the time products don't actually hit the streets when they are supose to, look at how long it was for the 6800's and X800's

Yeah, I know. I was just hoping that someone had knowledge or a solid date or had seen retail boards (in boxes) at some Far East Asian sites like Akiba. Thanks.

supposedly end of nov. is more likely then early - mid nov, and just like someone above said, dec. the cards should be pretty easy to find.

Looks like they already have the boxes and the cards ready so it should just be a little while longer.

The silver cooler is for the translator thingymagig to agp from PCIe. The card needs it because it is pcie based.

Thanks for all the replies. I should have also mentioned that I was looking for an AGP 6600 GT with HDTV component output capability. Newegg has XFX's PCIe 6600 GT up for sale, and it doesn't include an HDTV adapter cable, which leads me to believe they won't include one on the AGP version either. So I guess that leaves eVGA, whose website states that their AGP version will have HDTV output support and whose current PCIe cards include HDTV component cable adapters, Gainward, whose website doesn't mention HDTV output, Chaintech, whose PCIe 6600 GT has a HDTV cable but whose website states nothing about an AGP version, and maybe BFG, whose site has no info on 6600 GT at all (screw Asus, Aopen, and MSI). BTW, I've noticed that XFX and Gainward both offer 6600 GT's with dual DVI but without HDTV component cable adapters. Does anyone have an explanation or see a pattern here?

Anywho, thanks again.

leadthek I believe comes with a HDTV calbe thingy. and jsut cuase they dont ahve it on the website doesnt mean there isnt a card coming out. I dont see any of the big companys missing out on it. that would just be really stupid for them to do.

Sorry, I forgot about Leadtek. I like them, too. Solid reputation for quality products.

Also, I realize that just because it's not mentioned on their website doesn't mean they won't be releasing an AGP version. Normally, though, they'll at least have some mention of it a couple of weeks and sometimes months in advance of release. I just thought this case was a little odd with a supposed November to even late November release date.

The chip on the silver heatsink is the PCIe to AGP bridge chip. And because of the bridge chip, the GPU and video RAM are slanted, and the cooler is just slanted to fit as someone pointed out.
