Where the heck is my inbox?

Well, yesterday I was running a bunch of graphics intensive apps and ran out of paging space. Today, when I
opened Outlook Express, I noticed my inbox has one of those "Welcome to Outlook Express 5" messages. All my notes are gone though. However, the Sent Items, Deleted Items, and Drafts folders still have all my old messages.
So, I am a little confused on what happened and whether or not I can re-load my inbox maybe using the export feature. Any thoughts or suggestions?

go into the folder that contains your mailboxes. you will see an inbox.mbx and an inbox (1).mbx delete the new one (inbox (1).mbx) and rename your old one to the new one. then open outlook express. BTW, you should have outlook express closed when you do this.

if using win2k it'll be under something like this
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\.......\Microsoft\Outlook Express
