Where the heck are Matte laptops!!

I'd like to get an all matte laptop. Matte screen and matte casing. I'd like it to have discrete graphics and hdmi out. I have not found one laptop that fits that bill, do they exist???

Yes - they are called Lenovo Thinkpads as far as matte goes. Discrete graphics are available. Don't know about HDMI, but I would imagine it is also an option.

HDMI isn't an option on the core ThinkPad lineup. HDMI just isn't a "business" connector, so your standard ThinkPads sport VGA and Display Port support.

I think the New ThinkPad "Edge" models offer HDMI, as they are more SMB focused than corporate focused. Looks like they are available in both glossy and matte finish.

100% correct.

Two things to keep in mind when making a decision. First of all, the "edge" series doesn't come close to the build quality of the traditional Thinkpad line. Also, you can always use a displayport to dvi/hdmi dongle.
