Where should we have our wedding?

Having it a your house does qualify as "different", but I am not sure it is quite what we are looking for... thanks for the offer.

My choice is for Hawks Cay. I was down there last year. I didn't stay at that resort but I did play at the Sombrero golf course there.

It is very pretty, the reception areas look to be really top notch. It is not the crowded frenzy of Miami but people can fly into there and drive down to HC. Talk to the wedding planner there (I'm sure they have one) and see what deals you can get. Winter wedding might cost less since it is in the low season. (And not so hot.)

I've been to Belize on many dive trips and have friends living there now. If I could only convince the company to let me work remotely...

PM if you decide on Belize and either you or guests want to go diving. I'll find some diving packages for y'all.

I would hope that regardless of where it is, there is "diving" involved :Q

And add "Codey's House" to the poll 😀😀😀

a friend of mine just left to Bali,
he will get married there next week
His dream was : getting married wearing a haiwaian shirt on the beach
Good job
I think this is absolutly great

It's cool that you choose to do this when you don't have enough people to fill a wedding party. I hate being invited to weddings where I barely know the people.

Jekyll Island gets my vote. Course, i've been there alot living only an hour away.

As far as travel to or from it. it's 1 hour north of JAX (which is very easy to fly in and out of), the other option is SAV, which is around a 75 min drive. Both airports are directly off of I-95, and the island is about a 10 min drive once you get to the exit. Plenty of places to stay (may want to rent some houses instead of hotel rooms); there's also a small waterpark, golf courses, the millionaire's village (although, the millionare's hotel has sorta ruined it IMHO. You also have St. Simons and Sea Island (Cloisters, only 5 star resort in GA) nearby.
