so, I'm determined that I'm finally going to buy a new wallet today. I bought my current wallet back in like 2003 when I graduated college and stopped wearing a wallet chain.

I need help deciding where to go shop, though :( I can either go to the mall and hit up the department stores there or go to an outlet mall and hit up Brooks Brothers. mall and outlet mall are in opposite directions and I've only got time to go to one.

Kohl's. I got a new wallet there about a month ago. There was some sale going on, plus I had a coupon, so I got a belt and a wallet for about $20. I think the wallet is Croft & Barrow.

Walmart, unless you think women care about your wallet instead of what's inside of it.

I care about it :)

I want something that's going to look sharp, not something that, if I pull it out in front of some coworkers or clients, looks like my mom got it for me for christmas when I was in 4th grade.

and my current wallet (black nondescript perry ellis) is near falling apart.

I like my wallet in the front pocket, and this has been great.

the way the cash is tucked in there seems kinda weird, like you'd have to take the whole wad out to pull out a specific bill.

The cash is folded in half. Much better than a trifold wallet where you get curly bills. You have access from the top and side, so you can pull out just the bill you want. I've been using it for a year now, love it. It's much thinner, even with a bunch of cards in it, than a regular trifold wallet.

Real men wear wallets in their back pocket.

Loki, I have this one and it's been awesome. I got soaked in Central Park the other day and it shows no wear or smell from that.

I must've missed that particular man rule. I still don't understand why I'd want my wallet in my back pocket.

Real men carry their wallets in their cargo pockets. The wallet doesn't rub on their ass or jab their nuts while driving.

I've always carried my wallet in my front pocket. habit I got into in high school, when I had to take crowded trains to school every day.

bifold or bust as well... I haven't used a trifold since I stopped using wallet chains. too bulky and the bills are all curly.

why are you comparing it against a trifold?

why dont people just compare against a bifold?

i have a covington bifold that i bought from sears. it works for me. has a flip-out presspass pocket that i keep my DL in, and that's about it. thin enough, stores bills well.

Sorry, I apologize for the poor comparison. It's been a while since I did my PhD dissertation on Comparative Euro-American Wallet Sociology.
