I get my done at NTB, but that's because I got my tires put on there and they do the alignment free.

I've always had good experiences with the NTB near my apartment in Houston.

I do my own work and bring the car in for thing like alignments. Nobody stops me if I wander back and ask the guy working on my car questions and whatnot. No odd steering or tire wear after many miles, either, so the alignment was fine.

This. If you have a car, you WILL need to have a local mechanic that you trust not to rip you off. Once you find one of these, just take it to them. Stay away from the chains if at all possible.

you might want to opt for a place that offers a one time payment for lifetime alignments, preferably at a nationwide chain store so in case you move you can still take advantage of it.

afaik the garage must be a recent addition... and i don't visit anandtech every day... and when i do i mostly use General, Networking, Hot Deals, and Off Topic
