Where should I buy a replacement battery for my Toshiba Laptop?

I have a Toshiba m35-s320 laptop with a bad battery. I want a good quality battery, but I don't want to pay Toshiba prices for it. Toshiba wants $115, Batteries Plus and Best Buy want $100. I see cheap ones on eBay, but I assume these are the batteries you hear the horror stories about (stops taking a charge after a handful of cycles).

Can anyone recommend a source for decent quality laptop replacement batteries?

Thanks.

Got the 12 cell High Capacity original HP battery for my laptop for $74.99 + ~$11 S&H from these guys:

http://www.getpartsonline.com/

The battery arrived in an OEM bubble-bag, but it works great. I get usually 4 hours from this 12 cell battery (the original was 6-cell).

EDIT: HP charges >$150 for the same battery + tax.

I checked them out, and they unfortunately don't have my battery available.

As popular as laptops have become, I'm surprised there haven't been more responses to this thread. From what I've read, lithium ion battery life is around 18-24 months, so most laptop users must have replaced or at least contemplated replacing one. Do most of you just buy yours from the manufacturer?

Also, is there always a clear advantage to going with more cells? I would have thought that, given the same quality, the number of cells is unimportant so long as the voltages are the same.

If your 6-cell battery lasts 2hrs, the 12-cell battery will last 4hrs.

Otherwise the only difference is the size - mine is a bit larger and heavier.

And you can use the "Search category" to learn more - just typ in "laptop battery" in this category to find the pertinent threads.

I tried the search feature and found very little there. Looks like I'll have to get it from Best Buy after all.

i bought a toshiba battery from ebay about 3 years ago and it worked fine. It was labeled brand new, and it was the exact toshiba part. toshiba was out of stock of the battery at the time, and ebay was $50 cheaper anyway.
