hey, this is my first post here, even though I've been reading for quite some time (I usually find the answers to my problems without having to ask). I recently OC'd my K-7 to 944mHz from 800mHz, and I also upped the voltage to 1.8v to assist in making it more stable. I'm using a stock 3dcool.com tornado 1000 and I couldn't be happier with the thing...but my CPU temp is getting a little high for my liking (about 40C after being on for several hours). What I have in mind right now is applying some thermal grease to the heatsink and adding another fan, but I'm not sure where to put it. Here's my case...the fans are on the side, under the power supply and low on the front. The fan I'm looking to install is an 80x80x25 and possibly another of the same size. Again, what I'm looking for is where I should put the fans and any other suggestions as to what I should do to lower the temp. Thanks in advance.

Surely I misunderstand your post. You don't really mean that there is no thermal paste on top of your CPU...right? Just in case you were serious, run, don't walk to your closest supplier of thermal paste. Apply an even coat of it to the top of your CPU. 1/1000th of an inch thick is ideal. As this standard of standardness is difficult for we humans to attain, the thinnest you can make it, while covering the top of the processor will do. Less IS more.
