Where, oh WHERE, is the modem's init string?

Greets to the group -

Well, I scoured the Web and found out how to have my modem disconnect when an incoming call comes in. It's a matter of changing the S registers and making the modem more 'sensitive' to the Call Waiting signal.

Now the question is, how do I access the modem's init string? I don't want to add it to the string, I want to change the string, so the Properties/Advanced/"Extra Settings" routine isn't what I want.

I've checked all the Control Panel/Modem settings and the Dial-up Networking properties, but it eludes me. I've also re-scoured the Web, but all the articles talk about adding to the string, not changing the original.

Any help out there?

T'anks,
Benchie

The string is built into the firmware of the modem. Any modifications you add will supercede the default AT and S commands, so Properties/Advanced/Extra Settings IS what you want.
