[small rant on] Sigh, my new love, Southwestern Bell (SWB) DSL has gone bellyup for the 4th time this month....um well actually, ONCE this month and three times in the past month. Everytime it goes down, the downtime increases. 🙁
The first time it went down was about three weeks ago. First times it had been down since March, so I thought I was doing pretty good. It was down. I kept calling and nagging; *Tel rep says* "But Sir, my screen shows no outages in your area." *Mike says* "That's interesting...my screen shows NO IP...FIX THE DAMN THING PLEASE!" Ahem.
Well anyway, about an hour later, some goober called me back and said "yup, you were right, the Redback Router is dead....we're workin' on it." and hung up.
Mind you, I've no clue what a Redback router is. Is it a router made by the Redman Chewing Tobaccy company? No clue. 😕
Well, they fixed it. Yeah. Same good old speeds, Mike is happy. And then it went down. Again. Aaaaand again. It's been down since 1730 yesterday. I'm at work now...glad too, b/c if I was at home, I'd be calling SWB to say FIX THE DAMN THING PLEASE!
Ahem. I know there are many of you whose cable/DSL goes down every day. It's just tragic for me....$50/mo is kinda steep....NOT that I'd go back...but **sniffle** I miss my little fuzzy DSL! [small rant off]
