where is the STALKER beta?

reading through ars revue of HL2 (Text), I noticed a mention that HL2 comes with STALKER beta...

Another one of Half-Life 2's good things: It comes with the beta for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Any idea on how to get it? I have steam silver.

Considering the picture that that caption is under is in HL2, I think they were probably making a joke... you know, because that screenshot looks a lot like STALKER.

i didn't even think the screens were all that impressive. good, but not doom3/hl2

The game is supposed to be the Morrowind of FPS man! Havent you been paying attention? Graphics arent everything. I want to make choices, go anywhere, kill anyone!

That's probably why they delayed Stalker. There are to many similarities visualy and geoghraphicaly.
