Well ive been looking and looking. Even blowing smoke over the holes to see if it will inside and get spit out. This i am sure of, the exhaust is on the left side but i cant seem to find the intake for the life of me. This is probably a question for thinkpad owners.

I'll take a look when I get to work, but I think it's like my X41 and the way the fan is positioned, it servers as an intake and exhaust. It sucks air in on the left side and spits it out on the right.

there is no hole on the right side. Just a ultra bay DVD writter and a VGA port.

AHHHHHHH... someone must know :\

I just want to put a small AC fan on the intake and i noticed that notebook coolers dont do jack for it since there is no bottom intake. It just keeps the plastic composite cool but thats about it :\

There's no real intake for the fan on a T4x laptop. However, from what I've read, both the Ultrabay and the PCI slots serve as major intake pathways.

A notebook cooler might be more effective than you think - on my T43, a lot of heat is lost to conduction through the bottom of the laptop, particularly when I have the fan shut off. Cooling the plastic composite could make a big difference.

There is a slot for the fan. It sucks in air on the left side of the slot as it spins and spits it back out the right side of that same slot.
