Where is the guide to installing vid cards?

Searched forum but I couldn't find the how to install graphic card guide. Or does anyone know another forum that has an equally good guide on how to install a graphic card? I just recieved my 8800gs 5 mins ago and I want to install it ASAP.

The cards usually come with paper or electronic documentation that explains the process. Normally the process is:
Uninstall the current display adapter in Windows (via device manager).
Uninstall ATi drivers/applications.
Power down.
Remove old hardware, install new hardware.
Boot into windows
Install latest Nvidia drivers.

Yea the booklet inside the package does have something like that, but I remember reading a very good and detailed guide on installing video cards somewhere on anandtech forum and I just wanted to know if anyone knows if such a guide exists on here on any other forum.

its not rocket science... really...
add/remove programs and select uninstall...
Turn it off...
Replace video card.
Turn it on and install drivers..

You need to do nothing more.

You could even skip the uninstall part and it will still work (but you MIGHT run into issues down the road so it is generally recommended). Just don't try plugging and unplugging devices while the computer is on... From what I hear (at least about ram) you can expect blue flames, and utter destruction.
Just unplug the power cord before you begin and you will be perfectly safe.
