Where is the data???

I had a problems with windows a couple month ago and did a reinstall. Needless to say I don't game on my computer often (mostly my 360 now). I wanted to get back into totalwar because the next in the series is coming out.

Anyway... windows reinstalled on hard drive c:/
Games & save game data was on d:/ (different hard drive)

Now my d:/ drive shows 60 Gb of used space (games / pictures / etc...) but, when I open the d:/ drive it is empty. I can't see the data???

Any idea what caused this? I can reformat the drive but, I would rather not lose all my data??

Thank you.

You'll probably need to take ownership of the drive/files somehow. It can be a PITA, so good luck.

Any links on where I can find how to do that? I'm a little tech savy but, sometimes can be a technical retard 🙂

Depends oin your OS. For XP, go here:

XP

And this is pretty good for Vista:

Vista

I have done it in Vista, and once done, "Take Ownership" becomes a standard optiojn when you right click on a file in elevsted mode.
