I was trying to upgrade my bio to version 1010 on my Asus a7m266-d. When i try to upload the bio, it shows error, so i turn the computer off. when i tried to turn it back on, the screen is blank nothing on it. I send a email to Asus support they told me to do this:
1. Please find a working PC with ASUS board (same model or chipset will be
better).
2. Download BIOS flash utility and BIOS image file for your motherboard from
ASUS web site, save them into a bootable floppy disk without
AUTOEXEC.BAT & CONFIG.SYS files.
3. Boot the system into DOS mode with the floppy disk.
4. CAREFULLY take out the BIOS EEPROM from the motherboard.
5. Plug the faulty BIOS EEPROM into the socket.
6. Proceed with BIOS flashing procedure.
7. After the BIOS is successfully flashed into the EEPROM, take it out and put
the original EEPROM back.
how can't i remove the bio chip? mind is soild on the board.
