Where is the best place to find used games?

I've been looking for a copy of NHL '08 for X360 for awhile when I finally realized I am probably looking in all the wrong places. Gamestop is still ridiculously expensive and I've never seen anyone selling it in FS/T here. I avoid ebay like the plague so my options are limited.

So, where do you find your used games with the best prices?

I've had good luck buying PC and PS2 games from Amazon used sellers. Amazon offers much more protection to buyers than eBay does.

Well, let me ask you guys something. There's talk among the mods of starting a movie trading forum. Gillbot mentioned that that is something he had wanted to start up for Console Gaming as well. Would y'all be interested in that?

Got any flea markets near you? You can find a treasure trove of games there for system from the dawn of time until games released just days ago.

Sure, some of them might have "fallen off the back of the truck"... but whatever. haha.


Have you tried posting a WTB in the FS/FT forums, or are you just sitting around waiting for someone to post one?

I've basically just been waiting around to see if anyone posts it. Yeah I know, I'm not exactly keeping up my side of the deal but just waiting around heh.

sure why not ... in the last two weeks i've managed to pick up 10 ps3 games at great prices from peeps on AT's FS/FT forum, that's certainly a great outlet for people looking to trade away ... i dunno if having a forum dedicated to movie and game trading would boost traffic anymore tho ?

besides AT i've picked up a couple games via craigslist, half.com and amazon marketplace ...
half.com and amazon marketplace are like my "blue book" of used game prices

If you're avoiding GameStop and eBay, that basically leaves Amazon and random forums. I've done really well with the AT FS forum, but selection is just not going to be amazing. You also need to check every day if you're really interested in some of the more hot items.

Amazon tends to be as overpriced as GameStop due to the mandatory shipping fees, but they're worth a look sometimes.
