Honestly, just about any electronics store will carry them. Heck, even places like Target and Safeway carry them. Granted, not at the absolute best prices, but it's a lot faster than having one shipped to you.

Ugh at 800% average difference in price! :Q

Can your device tolerate higher voltage of rechargeables? They pay for themselves many times over with frequent use.

Yeah, definitely don't buy locally unless you need them urgently. I stocked up so I won't have to worry about that.

I haven't heard the greatest things about rechargeable 123s... something about issues if there is the slightest bit of difference in charge between multiple cells. Of course if the device only requires one battery that's not an issue. The higher voltage is, but I think the better chargers will discharge the battery slightly for you so that's not a problem.

Does any B&M have these for under $3 each?
I normally order them online, but if I need one quickly, I would be willing to pay a premium.

Oh no you don't want to use more than one in a device. They make specialized single cells (larger) for those applications. Putting them in series is inviting trouble. :Q

Most shops want around $5+ EACH for those and that's "on sale". The rechargeables can be had for $7 each!

Rechargeables are 3.7v to 4.2v. Don't use them unless you know the equipment can handle it.

amondotech.com It was mentioned before, but not link. Their shipping isn't that great and is fixed (I think), so pick up a flashlight or a other supplies too.

Found them for $1 each plus $6.95 shipping from Battery Station

how is that better that 2 for $6.XX from Best Buy?
If that were true, that is $3 per battery.

I bought 20 for $26.95 Form battery Station.
That is 2.69 per battery.
But I could have reduced it down to almost $1 per batetr if I bought more.

I called BestBuy and they had them for $12 for 2.
That is $6 perbattery.

After that thread I saw from candlepower about the exploding flashlight that nearly punched a hole in the oak cabinet door, I'm pretty nervous about anything that uses those batteries in series.

The Titanium brand from AmondoTech is pretty good too I think
Agreed with mugs. I ordered a set from surefire's website once and they're decent, a little higher priced than others but that was still a lot better than local prices. I think radioshack charges maybe $6-$8 per EACH CR123 battery, it's insane. The Amondotech one is a good recommendation and what I'll be getting once I get through my current stash of 123 batteries.

Just for those wondering, I bought a 12 pack from surefire.com @ $1.75 each.
