Where is the 620HX's highest point of effiency?

where is the PSU's highest point of efficiency?
40% load? 50% load?

Check their website, it shows graphs for both the 620HX and 520HX

In the same area that most have there best efficiency. Its when a PSU has between a 50% and 75% load on it.

SPCR measured highest efficiency for the HX620 to be at around 300 watts or just short of 50% load (at the points they measured) which is pretty much typical for a high quality PSU.

how about for the 520HX? my system draws about 275 watts at full load and i want that to be at my new PSU's max efficiency

It's the same, right at 65%, give or take a little.

Why would you want that? You run your system at full load most of the time?

The HX520 measurements were on the same page as the HX620 at the SPCR review btw.

yes, my system runs at full load 24/7. well full CPU/GPU load at least. maybe not hdd and dvd drive lol. i dont constantly burn and read dvds 😉
