Where is that setting for flash drives to disable the prompt at removal?

I have a flash drive and some time ago I found there was a setting somewhere that I could choose, so that I dont have to go through the Safely Remove Hardware thing.

Cant remember where it was. i looked in Properties, but nothing there looks like what it did

Flash Drive > Properties > Hardware > DeviceName > Policies

Which operating system are you using? Can the same thing be done in Win 2K?

Right - then you "Optimize for quick removal." What this does is remove it from write caching - which is the main reason for asking permission to remove - to make sure you don't get a delayed write error.

As for W2K - quien sabe. That is yesterday's news. A hardware unfriendly OS.
