According to a review at tweaktown of this motherboard, there is supposed to be a feature to lock PCI/AGP at 33/66. This picture shows the bios screen with a PCI/AGP frequency fixing feature. However, on my motherboard, I only have an option for "PCI/AGP Divider", with various bus divisions or disabled, which would just increase PCI/AGP linearly. Did the reviewers get a different motherboard than what I have? Anyone out there able to lock PCI/AGP with this motherboard? If it helps, I have version 1.1 of the board.

Hey - i had this board (no longer do), but there is NO pci/agp lock, only the divider. It only looks like it's locked because the screenshot has the values set to defaults.

hope this helps.

The picture says "Fixed PCI/AGP Frequency" at defaults while the same line on my 8igx says "PCI/AGP Divider" at defaults, so there is a difference. Maybe they took the picture from the 8iexp? hmmmm

I think the reviewers got the GA-8IGXP which may have the PCI/AGP lock but the GA-8IGX doesn't have it. I have the GA-8IX and I was a little disappointed when I found out it was not the same boards the reviewers recieved. BTW, is the 8IGX giving you any problems with the power management (ACPI)? Once mine goes into sleep mode, it can't wake up so it's essentially dead.

To potatoBBQ:

I guess it's a problem with your memory/mobo combination - I have had similar problems with my 8IGX while using Kingmax DDR333 modules (256MB). When I changed to one stick of 512MB Samsung PC2700 all problems where gone.

Happy OC'ing.
