It goes from 3D Labs to XFX. I dont see nVidia. Does it go by an alternate name?

nVidia doesn't sell video cards, just the chips that are made into cards by most of the companies you see there.

Be careful if you're looking to buy a 6600GT card (or any card really) because there are both "AGP" and "PCI-E"/"PCI-Express" cards now, and they each need a different slot on your motherboard.

Most existing systems have an AGP slot, only some new intel motherboards have a PCI-E slot (and some Athlon 64 motherboards coming out soon).

The PCI slots on existing motherboards are not PCI-E!

What kind of nvidia-based card are you looking for?

Dave has it right. Unlike ATI, nVidia doesn't market actual cards of their own. If you are in the market for an nVidia based card, [[oops; reminds self to check things more carefully]].

eVGA is nvidia's oem supplier

although you really cant go wrong with any manufactuer's card, most are based soley (read: copied) off the nvidia reference anwyay.
