I got some decent responses and pointers in my last thread on this ESU issue.

But it is now July 5. Following the links you friends provided, I got through the hoops that would SUPPOSEDLY allow me to get the ESU and/or it's license, key or whatever would be needed. BUT!! NO CIGAR!

To get the ESU, the user must:

be running Windows 10, version 22H2 Home, Professional . . etc. CHECK!

have the latest update installed [DONE!] CHECK!

[have] Microsoft account used to sign in to the device must be an
administrator account . . . YES, of course, absolutely . . . CHECK!

sign in to the Microsoft account CHECK!

have account that is not a "child" account -- of course -- I have no "children" and I'm not a "child" I have no restrictions . . . .so CHECK!

In addition, I met all the other conditions that would allow for a FREE ESU, particularly Backing Up all my "Settings" and particularly "Credentials" -- Did that, got that all done and wonderful!

BUT! NO "ENROLL NOW" for ESU link appears under "Windows Security and Update" or sub-menus. Nichts! Nada! Nothing!

WHERE IS MY FREAKING ESU upgrade/link/registration . . . .whatever!?!?

Replying to my initial post -- and I see that enough people have shown an interest in the topic from the count of visitors so far.

I enrolled my silly ass in the Ten Forums. Introduced myself in an initial post, then proceeded to pose the same question.

Nobody has seen much of anything and we're all in the same boat. Folks from UK and Canada somehow worry that M$ is giving them low priority for the roll-out. But out of several people, only one person so far has seen their "Enroll Now" link for the ESU.

So there is apparently nothing "hinky" about my Win 10 installation causing me to miss the ESU so far.

One guy said "patience is its own reward", but I can't stand the tense drama waiting for the reprieve for Windows 10.

Whether I build or buy the new Win-11 capable hardware, I have "other things" on the burner -- like paying my IRMAA Medicare B taxes next year, planning to buy a new car and so forth. An extra few thousand for a new computer or its parts is not an eager addition to those concerns.

Nothing I can't manage anyway, but an irritant.

Right now, this enrollment feature works only in the Windows Insider Program. It doesn’t matter whether the PC is in Beta or Release Preview Ring. You just need to be part of the Windows Insider Program to test the feature.
