Nope.. It's not there. What's weird is that I'm using a system with Win98SE right at the moment and I can't find it on this machine either. I see where the DMA box should be in the settings tab under properties, but the box just isn't there.should be under ide controllers/advanced settings for primary or secondary channel in device manager!
I'm trying to enable DMA for a Liteon burner using Win2k Advanced Server and can't find the DMA box to check. I've looked in Device Manager and don't see it.
Don't take this the wrong way, but with a horsesh*t answer like that, you might not want to be answering questions on the forums.Don't take this the wrong way, but maybe if you dont know how to enable DMA in Win2k, you might not want to be running Win2kAS?
Flying blind since I don't have Win2k myself, I just copy and pasted the directions in an email to get at the DMA setting and the guy was able to find out that he was in fact in PIO mode. He switched it to DMA and all is fine now. Thanks!Check the Current Transfer Mode after rebooting, if it's Ultra DMA or DMA, you're set. If it's PIO then you have a problem.
