I'm not sure I suspect it is my HUB. Here is my question. I have 3 desktops, 1 laptop and when I transfer files between them I am only going at 10 MB/s. I have 10/100 NIC cards in all of them but I have a Ethernet HUB connecting them. Is the HUB preventing me from transfering me from getting to 100 MB/s speeds? If so will a switch correct this problem?

yes, most likely it would be the hub. Check to see if it is a 10BaseT or 100BaseT hub. If you do get a switch, make sure (even though just about all of them are) that it's 10/100 BaseT
:)

Do you mean you're getting 10 megabytes (MB) / sec throughput, which is 80 Mbit/sec, and you think you have a bottleneck? Or did you mean you're only getting 10 Mb/sec throughput?

Just checking...
