FAQs on IWILL site are useless. Several weeks ago someone posted an alternate site that seemed very good. Needless to say I misplaced it. Does anyone know address of that or other sites?

Thanks

Thanks new2AMD!! One more question; am having trouble using emergency bootup disk in order to install new OS. Have tried 3 different boot up disks. Two are 32 bit fat and other is 16 bit fat. All disks start and then hang up. Yet all three disks work on old computer. Have checked jumpers, bios and don't know where else to check. Does IWILL require different bootup disk, or could it be that mobo is faulty? Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

Thanks again

Which operating system are you trying to install? If it is Windows 2000 or Windows XP, then all you need to do specify in the BIOS to boot from CDROM first and the CD will boot up without even a floppy! Now if you have Windows 98 you are SOL. I'm not sure if Windows ME is a bootable CD.

Looks like I am up that preverbal creek without a paddle. Know of anyone selling cheap paddles? The only solution I know of is to Install Win98 SE on another computer and then use "regedit" to remove "enum." I also hear that there are several "enums" and it will probably take me several attempts to get correct one.

Thanks for your information. If you find any additional info please contact me at: gene@davlin.net

Thanks again
