Where is boot.ini located?

i looked in my win98 partition and win2k partition, and nothing.

It's in the root directory of your first primary partition. (usually C:\ )

Enable 'View Hidden Files.'

Just enabling "Show hidden Files" won't work. To be able to find the Boot.ini file you have to go to "Folder Options" in the control panel, under the "View" tab uncheck the check box that says "Hide Protected Operating System Files (Recommended)" and enable "Show Hidden Files and Folders." Then you should be able to see it.
