Gaming on IGP? Is he joking? Or was it just to satisfy a sponsor?

Single and SLI GTX770 with max settings for discrete tests. Really?

So late and so terrible review.

Not to mention the OpenCL GPU-biased benchmarks. I miss old Anand.

Have just begun reading, but it's pretty nice to see IDC's TIM and delidding work used in the review.

Well, nice to see a review at least. But yea, strange choice of games and gpu. Would rather have seen single high end cards like 780 Ti and 290x along with a wider selection of games. Most everything seems gpu limited, so the gaming tests dont show much about the cpu performance.

No 800x600 tests ??? terrible review :p

iGPU Gaming testing ?? sponsor satisfy.
But but but iGPUs are killing dGPUs.

This may not be the best review ever, but it certainly is one of the best DC reviews so far.

Ha, that's what I thought when I saw it, like how could it possibly be relevant to the task at hand? To read it first from you is pretty cool, since as you know many have, I think falsely, accused you of AMD fanboy-ism. I don't think you would have pointed this out the way you did if that were so.

You would think that for reasons obvious to everyone by now.

Stop benchmarking games in GPU bound situations when you're writing a processor review. You either come off as lazy or biased.

I thought he was commenting on ShintaiDK, not on the review?

I will tell you this,

I DIDNT expect to see an iGPU Gaming test for the DC. That CPU is meant for dGPU gamers. And actually i believe those tests have no purpose and no place in the DC review.

On the other hand, the GPGPU tests have a meaning. Both AMD and Intel are integrating the GPU for compute reasons mainly, not gaming.

Edit: As NTMBK said, i was referring to ShintaiDK

Next time, spend your money, buy the hardware, spend a week and wright your own reviews the way you like them. Until then, you dont even have the right to talk about lazy or bias ;)

That argument is way to easy to hide behind. Anandtech is a site that does this for living. They also get the hardware for free. Yet they come up with late garbage like this. And its not exactly news. The site have been going downhill for some time now to an extend where its more or less irrelevant to PC crowd, since the focus is all about gadgets.

If you want PC reviews, you check other places. They simply dont deserve getting free hardware just to do like this.

It's a shame that certain participants never find anything good to say. Honestly I feel that such an approach seriously undermines credibility; the most believable opinions will contain at least some effort at balancing negative and positive. Rarely is anything all one or the other.

Yes those obviously need editing

interesting review, but now I'm looking forward for the pentium review,

but a shame about the gaming selection, clearly not made by a "gamer", ignoring more CPU bound games/scenarios.

Although more games would be better to be included, non the less the data provided is excellent for 1080p because of the SLI results.

If they really are to use such settings. Then they need to focus on whats relevant for it.
