Where in heck do I get scaffolding from for B&W? Level 2.

There's guy with a workshop that'll be making scaffolding for you. You have to supply him with enough wood and he'll make them automatically.

I JUST got the thing where you draw magic - I'm still unsure of how it works, like I can draw a fireball - so why would I get people to worship at temple as a miracle when I can simply cast it by drawing one...? There is a way to add scafolding to each other as well, so how exactly do I get scaffolds? There is a house-shaped spell to draw but I dunno how to use it yet !

i was 99% sure that i had been completely screwed when getting to level 2. had the same problems you are having. however, keep playing and the tutorial stuff will eventually get you into building.

still think i was screwed, tho, since one of the scaffolds the other god gave me could never be developed. dropping villagers next to it did nothing and it could not be picked up. ripoff!

do all the silver scrolls you see, and you'll get a scaffold shop.

or be like me and ignore the scrolls, and steal scaffolds from your ally god's village and build your own scaffold shop. 🙂

phil21 I tried, but I can't find any of his scaffolds - i'll keep checking though 🙂

Thanks guys. Belilve it or not I've only just gotten to the point of casting spells. I had not even tried before (with the wavy motions on the screen). Damn though I always did wonder what that thing on the bottom right meant. Suddenly the game has gotten incredibly better.

Darn - how can I expand my influence circles? I am almost to the point where my circle is around one of the enemie's towns but his is growing fastert than mine! Do I need more people...?

There are a couple of things you can do to expand your circle of influence. The most basic is by increasing your population. More disciples = more power. Having plenty of food and creating disciple breeders will take care of that. You will then have to build more homes to get rid of the annoying "we need more homes!" cries...

Another way that seems to work is to build a village center at the edge of your area of influence. The down side to this is the computer thinks it is a town and will keep converting it to his side... You might be able to use this to your advantage though...

When building homes, it is better to combine two scaffolds and make a bigger house it holds 5 people instead of the 4 that two small house would hold.

Ok thanks - I got most of that, but didn't think of building a village center on my edge - good one...also, how do I convert a town that is already taken over? Do I first have to ruin their town center? The population one is good - I have about 75 at most for my largest town now, should I aim for a couple of hundred? 🙂

<< how do I convert a town that is already taken over? q] You have to amaze them... do lots of wonders and fill up their wood and food... then they will worship you

Thx - one last thing. I can grab a miracle from my temple, as you know, and then move around and cast it. However I can also draw miracles. Whats the difference? It seems that I can only draw a miracle when I am within site of a village center, so even if I have influence elsewhere I can't draw elsewhere, hence the need to keep grabbing from temple right? This is so that a defender can cast faster than an attacker?

OOPS i got it now!

The villagers at your worship site create power from which you draw to cast miracles. Whatever method you use draws from that power. Hold your hand over the altar to see how much power you have. Miracles cost anywhere from 2000 up to cast. I don't know if your creatures draws from the well or if his miracles are free...
