where/how do you store all your extra parts and cables?

I don't necessarily need an all-in-one solution, but I'm trying to think of some containers I should be looking at to store:

random cables (power, hdmi, dvi, etc)
spare/old hard drives
screws, bolts, cable ties

at the moment, all my hard drives are stacked up on a bookcase and my cables are in a plastic shopping bag in the closet, but I'm trying to think of something a little nicer and more well-organized so I can tuck them away somewhere out of sight.

The smaller things like screws, SATA cables etc I store in the motherboard box. Case accessories not currently in use I store in the box the case shipped in. Modular PSU cables I store in the box the PSU came in.

More or less exactly what I was going to say. As long as you pack things neatly you should be able to fit 2-3 machines worth of spare parts into one case box.

I have a wa;l-in closet nas part of my computer room . I keep all the spare parts and stuff - screws, etc. in screw top jars, and I hang cables on the wall. I am suspecting that they are breeding in there at night! :)
