Troll post aside, you nailed it in your second paragraph.
It doesn't matter if you preferred 3.5" phones or 4" phones. There is now only one "flagship" device with a screen under 4.5". And that's the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact.
At this point, if you want flagship, you're (most likely) buying a large phone.
Edit: To say that, even in the iPhone realm, the 5.5" model is now the flagship with it's better specs and features.
Yeah, I admit this was something of a troll post, but I remember a while back when the first rumors of Apple going big came out there were quite a few that gasped at the prospect. I'd noticed very little comment of late on phone size so I had to wonder what happened to all the small phone fans. It seems that in at least one case they've moved to the iP6+.
The good news for those of us interested in, for example, the Note 4, that Apples entry into this segment has spurred Samsung to provide a $200 credit to pre-order. Thank you Apple!!!
