I was doing a search for cd-rw's (My mother has a CD burner and does not like the fact that you can only burn once...) and found non. So does anyone know a respectible site to get CD-RW's?

What exactly are you looking for in a CDRW?

Have you tried pricewatch.com? If you are just looking for a replacement there are tons available. Newegg, Googlegear, Mwave, Axiontech, and so on.

I mean the CDRW Media. Newegg does not have any CDRW disks (I looked) Pricewatch does not have any from a respectible company. so, ill check bestbuy. There are lots of DVDRW media though :).

What does she use it for? A USB Pen Drive might be a better choice because CDRW discs only work for a certain amount of rewrites and the reason I don't use them is beacuse after some time they just don't work anymore. Also, just get a bunch of CD-R's if not the USB Pen Drive because there are almost always one store or the other selling a 100 pack for free after rebates...

Pretty much anywhere office and/or computer supplies are sold.

But (I gotta ask) with CD-Rs costing next to nothing..... why not just explain to her why CDRW disks are a bad investment, burn very slowly and do not stand the test of time all that well.

I did not think of it at the time. And the USB pen drive is a very good Idea (Thanks :)). She is an EMT and mostly she uses it to have some kindof hard storage for her class info. Floppies are just too unreliable and, since she was changing all the time a RW cd seamed to be a better pick. But the USB pen Drive is a good Idea that I think she will like (as she uses a laptop to present most of her classes)

My burner says "48x24x48". Has anybody ever seen any 24x CDRW media? Mostly I see 1-4x at the stores, and some 10x. I guess there's just not much of a market for the 24x media (cuz of price, maybe?).

Staples or OfficeMax. Every week they have a $10 or $20 after rebate 48x or better CDRW. You can usually make that FREE after rebate by using a coupon. I surf hot deals forum/fatwallet.com for deals like that.

Only a sucker would buy a CDRW or hard drive from Newegg and the like....they are hideously overpriced. You can easily score free CDRWs and .50 cent per gig or less drives by cruising the deal site, or the Hot Deals forum.
