The site has been down all day... Just wondering what happened?? This should be OT, but please forgive me... 🙂
 
Hmm, I must be stuuuupid, but I read the Site News and didnt see anything about the down time? 🙂

Thankfully, it is up today.
 
Glad to see the site is up again. There is an announcement posted on Site News dated 10/12/01. I agree that a more prominent post in each forum would have been welcome. I visit Hot Deals 99% of the time and never looked at site news before today.

Thanks for the upgrades. It's great to see the continuous improvements.
 
I think that there should be a huge banner across the homepage of anandtech when the forums are being worked on, so I won't have to go into such a panic again 😉

besides, isn't anandtech.com's only function to be a gateway to these forums?
 
I love how people say things like "Where is the hot deal or Is this the Hot deal" when especially The title says "Where has Anandtech been"?

OH yeah...that title must mean that this thread has a hot deal in it since it says "Where has Anandtech been"

There must be a hidden hot deal in there since everything people post in the hot deals is always a hot deal even when they ssee "Mod Please Lock, Sorry Repost or ....."

Somebody just put this in the wrong category and no one is perfect ...........but a lot of us feel is our job to flame and to act like jerks when we have a chance

Read the title...and dont say stupid <beep> when it says explicitly what the <beep> thread is about.
Just tell that person they need to put this is another part of the forum.

Some points:

> Although it was in the site news, it was only added sometime on Friday.
> The WWW portion of the site was also down, but not as long as the Forum section.
> Only after the WWW portion came up was I able to go to the 'site news' section.
> Only the 'site news' button was on the central page which you had to click to take you to the area where the upgrade was mentioned.
> I only visit the WWW portion of the site about once for every 30 times that I visit the forums section.
 
Why are some people so mean in this Forum? Absolutely no sense of community. With all the tragedies around us does flaming someone solve anything?
